Spouse Visas for Canada (Student Dependent & Post Study Work Dependent)

Student Dependent: An international student may bring his or her dependents to Canada by one of two routes.

  1. One is for the student and dependent family members to submit their visa applications concurrently.
  2. Another option is for the student to wait until he/she has received a study permit, and then submit applications for his or her accompanying dependents.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. He or She must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Must have a valid passport.
  3. If Spouse in Canada (Sponsor) is on study permit:
    • He or She must be enrolled in a full time program at a Designated Learning Institute or Government recognized public post-secondary institution in Canada.
  4. If Spouse in Canada (Sponsor) is on work permit:
    • He or She must be working full time with any employer in Canada under NOC Category 0, A and B.
  5. Documents showing genuine relationships and financial stability.
  6. A Medical Report from Panel Physicians approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

  • Visa Processing fees: Due at file submission CAD$ 255 (Per Person)
  • Biometric Fees : CAD$ 85 (Per Person)
