Provinces with the Best Job Opportunities in Canada.

Canada with no doubt is the second largest country in the world and has an estimated population of over 36 million including immigrants. With this massive population, one would expect high unemployment and possibly a bad economy but its the contrary.

From November to December 2018 the employment rate in Canada was 61.70% which is a stat for the number of persons with a job as a percentage of people who are eligible to work. And unemployment has declined significantly from 7.1% to 5.38% between 2016 to 2018.

Some provinces in Canada has recorded the highest employment rate such as:

Ontario:

This is one of the most popular provinces in Canada, it has the largest city (Toronto) and one of the largest job market around. Major industries and companies in Canada have their headquarters in or around the Toronto area.

Ontario also encourages new immigrants who wish to settle in Canada as they have the highest number of immigrants which makes it easy to find friends and colleagues who speak the same language with you.

British Columbia:

British Columbia (BC) also has a large number of immigrants and different languages are spoken in the province which can make new arrivals feel welcomed and also adapt easily. There is a high demand for labour in the province, particularly from industries.

Nova Scotia:

The demands for labour in Nova Scotia is so high such that the province was willing to offer free land to workers who are willing to work in their companies. Although it has not been noted that they have lots of jobs especially for skilled immigrants.

Nova Scotia is also involved in a program called the Atlantic immigration Pilot, that aims at bringing skilful and hardworking employees to their province.

Alberta:

Alberta has enjoyed a stronger labour market in recent time. Immigrants who settle in this province have a much better chance for employment because of the lack of skilled labourers in this area.

In the year 2017, the province introduced its own special program (Immigrant Nominee Program) that helps immigrants who are skilled to link with the qualified jobs faster.

Quebec:

This province also has a strong job market, it has recorded an unemployment rate as low as 3% since 2017 and has drawn many immigrant and job seekers to its territory.

In as much the standard of living in these provinces is very high, they still the territory that offers an excellent job opportunity for workers who are skilled.
